Use The Humidifier Correctly

Correct use of humidifiers In winter, in order to keep the room warm, many families will close the doors and windows tightly, but they don't know that this is a big taboo. The survey shows that there are many factors that affect indoor air quality. Among the major factors that indoor air may affect human health, poor ventilation accounts for 48%, home decoration accounts for 18%, and building components account for 3.5%. Researchers usually use the content of carbon dioxide as an important indicator to measure indoor air conditions. Under normal circumstances, a person exhales 22 liters of carbon dioxide per hour and 80 liters of carbon dioxide per hour during heavy physical activities. If the indoor ventilation is poor, the carbon dioxide exhaled by the human body will converge indoors, which will affect human health, while outdoor fresh air can dilute indoor pollutants, so windows should be opened frequently to allow indoor air flow.

The so-called ventilation does not mean that the doors and windows should be open all day long, and the ventilation time should be reasonably selected. According to research tests, in cities with concentrated industries, there are two pollution peaks and two relatively clean troughs day and night. The two pollution peaks are usually around sunrise and evening, and the two relative cleaning periods are around 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., at which windows can be opened as appropriate.

The time and number of windows opened within a day can be arranged according to the size of the house, the population, living habits, the degree of indoor pollution and weather conditions. Taking 100 cubic meters of space as an example, when there is no wind and a temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is 20°C, air exchange can be achieved in about ten minutes.

If the indoor and outdoor temperature difference is small, the exchange time should be extended accordingly. It's cold in winter, but it should not be less than twice a day, no less than 15 minutes at a time and up to 30 minutes. In addition, vinegar fumigation, sanitary fragrance and other measures can also be used regularly to disinfect indoor air. Humidifiers should be cleaned weekly. At present, many hospital wards use air humidifiers. According to experts, this is to increase the humidity of the air and avoid inducing various respiratory diseases.
