Recently, the Port of Los Angeles reported that the total throughput in August was 805672 20 foot equivalent units (TEUs), down 15.5% year on year. The import volume is 404313 TEUs, the export volume is 100484 TEUs, and the empty volume is 300875 TEUs. Imports fell sharply, down 16.8% year on year and 16.7% compared with July.
